APPLICATION DETAILS

What We’re Looking For

Black Makers Market is a juried market experience designed to uplift Black-owned businesses across creative, handmade, food, and lifestyle categories.

We prioritize:

  • Handmade & handcrafted goods

  • Original art, design, and creative services

  • Packaged food & beverage brands (properly permitted)

  • Thoughtfully produced retail, wellness, and lifestyle brands

Our goal is to curate markets that feel intentional, balanced, and supportive—both for vendors and for the community we serve.

Jury Process & What to Expect

Submitting this form does not guarantee acceptance. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to provide individual feedback on application decisions.

You can expect:

  • A confirmation that your application was received

  • An email notification once jury review is complete for the event(s) you selected

  • If accepted, a follow-up email with a payment link and next steps.

Payment & Fees

Our standard vendor fee is typically $150, though fees may vary depending on:

  • Event size and duration

  • Location and production costs

  • Indoor vs outdoor setup

If selected, vendors will have 72 hours to submit payment once invoiced. Unpaid booths after the payment window will be released to the waitlist.

Market Grant (Equity-Centered)

We believe access matters. If you are a first-time vendor and cost is a barrier, you may apply for the Black Makers Market Vendor Grant to be considered for a sponsored booth. Grant applications are reviewed separately and do not impact jury decisions.
