Black Outside Fest returns in 2026 for a celebration of music, art, culture, history, and community unlike anything else in the city.

Produced by Black Makers Market, Black Outside Fest is a multidisciplinary cultural arts festival that brings together Black artists, musicians, makers, food entrepreneurs, storytellers, and families for a day dedicated to experiencing and celebrating the rich history of Black culture in Austin.

More than a festival, Black Outside is a living exhibition of Black creativity. Through live music, visual art, fashion, foodways, storytelling, and community gathering, we honor the cultural traditions that have shaped Austin while creating space for the next generation of creatives to thrive.

Black Outside Fest welcomes residents, visitors, and tourists alike to experience Austin through the lens of its Black creatives, cultural workers, and entrepreneurs. This event is funded in part by Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment (ACME).
